You can set your height presets and preferred cruise control interval on Tempo's intuitive interface in less than 90 seconds. Then enjoy working healthier!

We started with a simple premise - your desk should raise itself at the best time for you to stand (and automatically lower when it's time for you to sit again too). We quickly realized that to do that well, the desk has to know when you're there, so we only "count" the time you're actually sitting or standing, and because it's unsafe to move the desk when you're not present. Using only low-power infrared (like a tv remote) and a custom algorithm that we've tuned with years of data, we were able to deliver the only handset that can accurately detect your presence and ONLY move your desk while you are there.

No! We spent a lot of time perfecting the user interface of Tempo so that you can set up and enjoy full Cruise Control functionality right on the handset itself. That said, installing the app does unlock some cool additional features. Most notably, you’ll be able to view your historical standing data, and trends, and configure your preferences in more detail.

Yes! In addition to being smart, Tempo is also a very satisfying paddle-style switch. Just reach over and pull up to go up (or push down to go down). If you have presets configured, holding for a second and releasing will send the desk right to your preferred height. We designed Tempo so that you won’t have to look away from your work just to adjust your desk height.

Think of tempo as a friendly personal trainer who gives you a nudge in the right direction, but you are always in control. Tempo will "bump" your desk slightly a few seconds before moving, at which point you always have the option to cancel the move and stay put.

Tempo will never move your desk when you’re not present. In fact, that presence sensing (hardware and software both designed in-house here at Ergodriven) is what really makes Tempo the perfect co-captain, and not just a timer. Tempo only moves when you’re there, for the safety of others in your workspace, your desk, and the stuff on it.

We think Cruise Control is the way of the future (you can stand just the right amount without thinking about it!). But even without automatic moves, Tempo provides an upgraded user experience, with pull up/push down control, support for two users, and usage stats. Installing the app opens even more access to info and customizations.

Yes! You can double click Tempo down to pause (and add time to an existing pause) or double click up to end a pause early. This is great for something like leading a zoom meeting, where you might not want your desk to move.
We are also currently testing a calendar integration or option to schedule “no move” times in the app.
Finally, you can also hold the center button for 3 seconds to lock Tempo (then again for three seconds to unlock it). This is intended to prevent children from moving your desk, but it would prevent any movement until the lock is turned off. -

Even though we've been putting bars (and even rings) above our desks here at the office for a decade, we've never made it a product before! These images are of our most recent prototype. Production pull-up bar frames will come in a few different sizes and will also feature some adjustability So you can always get the perfect stretch, without having to jump (unless you want to!).
